I was born in the 60’s in the “golden triangle” of Eastern Montana where there was nothing but sky, wheat and wind. Incredible, boundless beauty tempered with the need for pragmatisim. Out of the influences of childhood come my designs, created with my own two hands —practical, beautiful, a little quirky and always fun to wear. (What would you expect from a girl whose first pet was a bantam rooster?)
Now living in Colorado, I am in love with all things fiber. I adore combining different materials into something one-of-a-kind. I am drawn to the improvisational nature of crochet - rarely using patterns - preferring to just let the items evolve in my hands.
I have a Masters Degree in Architecture and even though I work with soft fibers now (the opposite of the straightlined materials of steel, concrete and wood) my training still makes itself known--the structure of a spiral staircase expressed in a glorious ruffled scarf or the fibinaci sequence in a handbag's stripe. I can run but I can't hide from my inner geek!
